I desire to place below the Commission appointed to inquire into the Currency or Shilling, certain views connected with the general question from a standpoint which I think has not hitherto been adopted.

The views of a small but influential section of the Community on the subject, have been before the Government, and the general public, for some time past, but these gentlemen I think have looked on the question from one side only, and it is in the hope of getting a hearing for the other side, that I desire to place my opinion now before the Commission.
